Compost is the organic matter that has been decomposed in a process called composting. This process recycles various organic materials otherwise regarded as waste products and produces a soil conditioner (the compost).Compost pit is used for preparing compost which is rich in nutrients. It is used in gardening, landscape etc. Creating compost pit at home requires kitchen waste, leaves grass etc.
For this reason, Class 5 students were involved in the reusing of materials rich in nutrients and hence, preserving the resources we have.
