“Misleading information and social media” is a growing concern in today's digital age. Social media platforms are not only powerful tools for communication, information sharing, and community building but they also present challenges when it comes to the spread of misinformation. Young people often form their beliefs and opinions based on the information they gain on social media. To understand this and spread awareness in the society, Grade XII had taken up the topic “Misleading information and social media”
idk The students divided themselves in groups and prepared charts with examples of real-life misleading information and social media posts, accompanied by explanations of why they are misleading and how they could be fact-checked or debunked. idk
idk The students prepared a PPT on the impacts of Misleading Advertisement and other forms of misinformation, including fake twitter images and how people use the internet to spread rumours and misinformation. They showcased it to the lower grade students and that enhanced peer-to-peer learning, promoted leadership skills, and inspired younger students to become more informed and engaged members of their community idk
